Crochet Rugs

I was busy in Hungary. Meeting with friends, family and cats; sightseeing; fighting with flue and making some crochet rugs.

Holiday Essentials

On Saturday I'm off to the airport and go for nearly two weeks to Hungary. It seems the weather will be kind to me and I'll have the perfect time for some good old site-seeing. I had better be prepared for long walks, sunny days and chilly evenings.

So my (spring) holiday essentials are:

1. A nice parka which is not too warm, not to cold, perfect for this time of the year.

2. Of course sunglasses, as I hope I'll have lots of sunny days.

3. A big scarf, it always comes in useful.

4. A decent pair of shoes (must be comfy as well).

5. A not too big/not too small backpack to put all my secondary holiday essentials in!

This lovely little dog is Okie, my dog walking partner. I borrow him from his rescuer who's my neighbour. She saved his life after his previous owners decided that after 6 years of having him they'd had enough and wanted to put him down. They even called him a "sculpture dog" as he was always in the living room and they wouldn't even take him out for a walk! Someone took pity on little Okie and contacted my neighbour looking for a foster home. As she already had 2 rescue dogs, several cats and a few rabbits she didn't think there would be room for him in the long-term. However, after a few weeks living together she changed her mind and became Okie's brand new loving owner.
This furry little thing is the nicest dog I've ever met! He never complains, barks, pulls the lead, pees where he shouldn't or does anything to make you angry. But he does make funny noises, loves a good stroke and most of all he's just grateful to be alive (and walking)!

I needed a birthday card urgently. As my printer hasn't been functioning very well for a while I had to come up with something that did not require modern technology...

I remember writing letters to Santa (more like drawing them) with the things I would love to recieve for christmas. As I know now, there is no such thing as Santa so I don't draw letters to him. But still, I can dream about things I would like to have. And as my birthday is coming soon I think I deserve a few dreams.

1. Miroslav Sasek books (because I love his illustrations)
2. New Balance 576  trainers in navy blue (because I would love a comfy pair of trainers to walk in)
3. Antique style craft scissors (just because I like them)
4. Reading glasses (because I need them unfortunately)
5. Sunglasses (because I like them)
6. Eames DSW chair in black (because I would love one of those)
7. A nice camera (because I would like to take nicer pictures)
8. A nice warm blanket (because I'm always cold)

Dog walking

It was a beautiful day today. I could feel: that spring is around the corner. We decided to go for a little walk around the lake at Pugneys Country Park. We invited our neighbour's dog to join us.

I was first introduced to it's great sounds by R. This is one of his all-time favourites.
Each planet tells a story and even though there are no lyrics, you can understand each theme very well.
